How to Connect - World of Warcraft

Hint:

Downloaded standalone world of warcraft game client are not supported!

Because of the reason: we keep our server up-to-date with the latest version of world of warcraft.

  1. As soon there is an update available from TrinityCore for a newer version of the server.
  2. We will update our server to the recent version. (At this point if you have a standalone client and not from battle.net it causes you can NOT 1Updating your client - 2Connect to the server - because of the lower game version.)
  • Only world of warcraft game client from battle.net are supported. Because of the simple reason you can keep your client up-to-date.
  1. We suggest you to deactivate auto-update on battle.net launcher and do it manually update the game when the server got updated. So 99% you will be able to connect.

 

Create Account

First of all, you must create an account. The account is used to log into both the game and our website. Click here to open the registration page.

 

Download the game

Install World of Warcraft. You can download it (legally) from here: Windows or Mac. Make sure to upgrade to our current supported patch, which is: See Forum.

 

Download the Launcher

Download the Custom WoW Launcher from Arctium. Unpack it in your "World of Warcraft" directory.

 

Start the Game

If you have a fresh installation. You must start your game once through the Battle.net launcher. This is necessery for the first time to generate the config.wtf file.

 

Setup the game

Open up the "World of Warcraft" directory. The default directory is "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft". When you've found it, open up the directory called "Retail", then go into the directory called either WTF.

 

Change server address
While editing the config.wtf do not erease all text. Just do it like it says to you below.

Open up Config.wtf. change: SET portal "ANY" to:
SET portal "LOGON.MOON-OF-DRAGON.COM"
